Flying with Pets
A lot of pet owners are worried before their first air travel with a pet; it can be difficult travelling with them. However, if the owner knows how to prepare for a flight with pets it will result in a more enjoyable air travel for both.
Before riding on an airplane, the pet should be given authorised admission into his carrier or crate. During the day, put a desired blanket or some toys inside the carrier so that the pet starts associating the crate with pleasant experiences. Beware that airlines make limitations on pets travelling in cargo during the summer season and flying to certain tropical destinations. This is implemented to avoid harm to pets due to overheating. A pet shouldn’t be given contact to food or water within 12-18 hours of a flight so that it will help lessen the possibility of an accident during the flight.
A nervous pet may urinate and vomit due to nerves. So it’s very important that owners bring two extra towels and two spare puppy pads in their carry-on luggage. If the owner plans to maintain any dirty towels from the crate bottom (rather than disposing of them), take along a plastic zipper-lock bag to enclose moisture and stink.
The moment before you go to the airport, play a game of fetch at the playground, or let your pet have a long run. This will help deduct some of the pet’s strength, making him more relaxed and sleepy during the flight. Check this out for performance information on ssd.
